The Waterfront Inn – Fixed Price Evening Menuevening menu pdf

Our excellent-value fixed-price evening menu features a choice of freshly-cooked courses from which you can choose 2 or 3 dishes, depending on your appetite. If you would prefer to eat individual courses please check out our à la Carte menu. Our evening meals are served from 5.30pm until 8.30pm (9pm on Fridays & Saturdays) in the winter months.

Starters

Soup of the Day

A large bowl of fresh, nutritious home-made soup, served with crusty bread and butter. Ask your server for today's choice(s).

Creamy Garlic Mushrooms

Delicious, fresh, creamy mushrooms served on a slice of toasted garlic bread with a salad garnish.

 
Moules Marinière

A starter portion of the classic French dish of mussels in an onion/wine/cream sauce, served with bread (you've got to mop up that sauce!).

 
Chicken and Lemon Risotto

A great way to stimulate your taste buds – fresh, lemon citrus pervades this tender chicken risotto, which is served on salad leaves with crusty bread.

Main Courses

Pasta Dish of the Day

This could be a Chicken, Parmesan and Pesto Tagliatelle or a Ham, Leek and Mushroom Penne or even a rich Spaghetti Bolognese. All normally served with a generous Side Salad.

Vegetarian Dish of the Day

Ask your waiter what the chefs have prepared today. During last winter our Goat's Cheese Puff was extremely popular – look out for a re-appearance!

Fish of the Day

A seasonal dish with flavours of the sea. Our chefs often prepare Tuna, Trout, Plaice, Cod and a delicious Seafood Gratin. Normally served with New Potatoes and Vegetables of the Day.

 
Pie of the Day

Prepared by our chefs at The Waterfront, our 'proper' shortcrust pastry pies are loved by locals and visitors alike. Steak & Ale is extremely popular, closely followed by Lamb & Mint and Chicken, Ham & Leek.

Desserts

Panna Cotta

A traditional French dish consisting of a vanilla-infused rich custard topped with hard caramel. Served with a biscuit and fruit compote.

Trio of Ice Cream & Sorbet

Choose from ice cream flavours such as Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry or Oriental Ginger. Sorbets include Cassis (blackcurrant) and Citron (lemon).

 
Hot Pudding of the Day

This could be our popular chocolate brioche or a sticky toffee pudding or a fresh, tangy apple crumble. Whatever takes the chefs' fancy today.
